Read the thread before you meet.
From the maker of First Read. Different URL. Different product.
- What it is
- A dating-thread reader. Paste the texts, or photograph them. A profile bio, captions, a screenshot of the grid — same box. Mark whether you are reading as a man or a woman — the verdict stays about what is on the screen; the instruction changes voice. One verdict. What to do tonight. First Read cools a reply. This one asks whether you should stay in the room. It calls typical dating bullshit when it is on the screen. It does not talk you out of a genuine match. Awkward, imperfect, earnest — that can be the diamond. If the signs are good, it will say keep going.
- What it is not
- Not a dating app. Not a diagnosis. Not legal, medical, or therapy advice. It names behaviour in a paste — hurry, pressure, a money ask — and stops there. It does not name a personality. It does not open Instagram, TikTok, or anyone else’s account. If the thread is ordinary, it will say so. Some people are actually looking.
- A profile they sent
- Photograph the profile or paste the bio and captions you can already see. A username or a link is not a read — we do not visit other people’s accounts. If they dropped a handle in the thread, that is a move. We read that. If you paste the bio next to the chat, we read the mismatch. We do not guess who they are from a grid we have not been shown.
- Why
New daters miss hurry as chemistry — and they also miss a decent person because the last thread was a mess. A ticket, a marriage mention, a demand to stop asking friends — that is often just speed. Nerves, imperfect English, a public coffee — that can be the match. Call the bullshit. Don’t talk yourself out of the diamond.
Read the thread before you meet.
- If you are in danger
- Leave the thread. Get help in the room you are in. This page cannot keep you safe.
- Keep
- The site is free. A hard pass is never paywalled. The iPhone app is a one-time purchase — photograph the thread, keep Hard Pass on the home screen, no subscription. Keep Hard Pass.
- Privacy
- The paste is read and discarded. A photo of the thread is read on this device. The picture is not sent and is not kept. Nothing is stored.
